Friends Non Show
Continuing a series of exhibitions where Greek artists are in dialogue with international artists of their generation, Dio Horia Cultural Platform presents the group exhibition “Friends” from 12th February to 20th March 2020.
There are various definitions regarding the true or the primary meaning of the word “friend”. The title of the exhibition refers to the simplest etymology/origin of the word that allows someone to be a friend through any time and any way. According to this etymology, anyone who connects with the gallery and shares a moment with the artworks presented, the exhibitions organized, the artists who create and the people who work at Dio Horia Gallery, is considered a friend. Two aspects of friendship are noticed here: a notion of connection between people and a notion of exchange which, is created between them through that connection. Spyros Aggelopoulos, Chris Akordalitis, Trudy Benson, Javier Calleja, Maja Djordjevic, Amir H. Fallah, Sam Friedman, Hulda Guzmán,Todd James, Elias Kafouros, Caroline Larsen, Joakim Ojanen, Erik Parker, Jason REVOK and Despina Stokou are artists from different parts of the world, with whom Dio Horia gallery shares the benefits of friendship.
