We are thrilled to announce that artist Katelyn Ledford, originally from the American South and now based in Jersey City, will be holding a solo exhibition this October at Dio Horia Gallery Acropolis, following her summer residency in Greece in 2024.
Ledford's work, infused with a unique blend of acid humor, deconstructs traditional paintings through the use of shapes, symbols, and digital imagery. Her innovative approach incorporates oil, acrylics, and unconventional materials such as glass, plastic, and buttons. Her artistic practice, marked by a candid cynicism, self-deprecation, and touches of absurdity, eloquently conveys vulnerability, making personal and collective experiences resonate more deeply with viewers.
